The Ormstown Observer and Municipality of Ormstown Reach Settlement
The Ormstown Observer and the Municipality of Ormstown have reached a settlement in the defamation and copyright infringement case that had been before the courts. The terms of the agreement are confidential, but the cost to taxpayers will be highlighted soon.
This settlement concludes the legal proceedings between the parties. It allows all involved to move forward and refocus their efforts on their respective roles within the community.
The Ormstown Observer was established to serve the public interest by improving access to public information and encouraging informed civic engagement. That mission remains unchanged.
Looking ahead, The Ormstown Observer will continue its work with an emphasis on clarity, accountability, and constructive participation in local civic life.

L’Ormstown Observer et la Municipalité d’Ormstown concluent une entente
L’Ormstown Observer et la Municipalité d’Ormstown ont conclu une entente dans le cadre du dossier judiciaire portant sur des allégations de diffamation et de violation de droits d’auteur. Les modalités de l’entente demeurent confidentielles.
Cette entente met fin aux procédures judiciaires entre les parties et permet à chacun de tourner la page et de se recentrer sur son rôle au sein de la communauté.
L’Ormstown Observer a été créé afin de servir l’intérêt public en facilitant l’accès à l’information et en encourageant l’engagement civique éclairé. Cette mission demeure inchangée.
L’Ormstown Observer poursuivra ses activités avec un souci de clarté, de responsabilité et de participation constructive à la vie civique locale.
